I knew it was wet leaving work last night - I was soaked getting to the car. But it was the drive home which really scared me.

In a night that appeared to swallow the beam of tour headlights, hidden standing water on became a huge problem. Suddenly finding yourself aqua planing wasn’t much fun at all.

Slowing down was the only obvious way to increase your chances of a safe journey. However this only put you at risk of the idiots who were undertaking. It started to make you feel like getting home in one piece was going to be a huge challenge.

Luckily everyone I know made it home ok. But it has given me a whole new outlook on driving in the rain.
